SMS Messaging Policy

Marion County Fire Inspections LLC — Effective May 2026

Overview

Marion County Fire Inspections LLC ("MCFI") uses SMS text messaging to send operational notifications to our team of subcontracted fire inspectors. These messages are strictly internal workforce communications — we do not send marketing, promotional, or advertising messages.

MCFI provides commercial fire inspection services for the Indianapolis Fire Department in Marion County, Indiana. Our inspection team consists of 10–20 W-9 subcontracted inspectors who conduct fire safety inspections at commercial properties throughout the county.

Types of Messages

Messages sent from MCFI may include:

  • •New inspection assignments — Notification that a new inspection has been assigned, including location and scheduled date.
  • •Schedule reminders — Reminders for upcoming inspection appointments.
  • •Assignment updates — Status changes such as reassignment, cancellation, or rescheduling.
  • •Operational notices — Important operational updates relevant to active inspectors.

How Inspectors Opt In

Inspectors provide their mobile phone number and consent to receive operational SMS notifications as part of their subcontractor onboarding process with Marion County Fire Inspections LLC.

During the contractor agreement signing, inspectors acknowledge that they will receive work-related text messages including schedule assignments, reminders, and operational updates at the mobile number provided.

Consent is collected as part of the standard onboarding process when inspectors join our team. Only active, onboarded inspectors receive SMS messages.

How to Opt Out

Inspectors can opt out of SMS notifications at any time by:

  • 1.Replying STOP to any message received from MCFI.
  • 2.Contacting their supervisor or MCFI administration directly.
  • 3.Emailing info@indyfire.com with the subject "SMS Opt-Out."

Once opted out, no further SMS messages will be sent to that number. Inspectors may re-opt-in at any time by contacting MCFI administration.

Message Frequency & Rates

Message frequency varies based on inspection scheduling volume. Inspectors typically receive fewer than 10 messages per month. Total message volume across all recipients is estimated at fewer than 100 messages per month.
